MNRL appointed as carbon management consultant for the first biochar project in Hong Kong

Mother Nature Resources Limited (MNRL) has been appointed as carbon credit managment consultant to the EcoPark Biochar Centre in Hong Kong. The Environmental Protection Department (EPD) of the Hong Kong SAR Government had awarded the contract to set up and operate the Pilot Biochar Production Plant in the EcoPark to the Jardine Engineering Corporation Limited in December 2021.
The project is in full operation and aims to become the pioneer facilities in the region converting local woody waste into biochar. The Biochar production process is a globally recognised carbon removal processes. MNRL is now providing advisory services to the project in carbon managment and carbon credit project development.
