The Environmental Protection Department (EPD) of the Hong Kong SAR Government had awarded the contract to set up and operate the Pilot Biochar Production Plant in the EcoPark to the Jardine Engineering Corporation Limited in December 2021.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: Raleway; font-size: 18px; color: #000000;\">The project is in full operation and aims to become the pioneer facilities in the region converting local woody waste into biochar. The Biochar production process is a globally recognised carbon removal processes.
